AIT is pleased to host the artist talk by our current artist in residence from Sweden, Luca Frei, with the support of IASPIS.

In the first part of his talk, Luca Frei will introduce his artistic practice, focusing on critical projects that highlight his unique creative approach to working with spatial installations, sculpture, textiles, and archive material. Among the projects discussed are Model for a Pedagogical Vehicle (2018), Musica Viva Spreads (2015), and Mobile Lobby (2024).

In the second part of the talk, Luca will present new textile pieces he produced during his IASPIS residency at AIT. The presentation will include a display performance in which Luca unfolds the pieces for the public. In addition, a slideshow from his walks along the Nomi River will be screened, offering a unique glimpse into the local environment that has profoundly influenced his latest work.

We hope that you can join us.
